“Turkish plastic machinery manufacturers in Plast 2018 Fair”
The heart of the Plastic and Rubber Processing Machinery sector, one of the main industries with an annual manufacturing capacity of Euro 35 billion, will beat at the International Plastic and Rubber Industry Fair (PLAST) to be held on 29 May – 1 June in Milan. Stating that they would carry out an effective promotion activity at the fair to be visited by more than 50 thousand people, the President of Machinery Exporters’ Association, Mr. Kutlu Karavelioğlu, said: “With Turkish participants, we will take our investments in the area of Plastic and Rubber Processing Machinery to the international showcase.”
The PLAST Fair, held every 3 years in Milan, will bring together in Milan more than 1,500 firms from the plastic and rubber sectors and the automotive, building and construction, electrics and electronics, information and telecommunications, packaging, raw materials, design, and recycling sectors. At the PLAST, one of the largest fairs of the Plastic and Rubber Processing Machinery sector, whose global trade volume has reached USD 26 billion per annum, Turkey’s machinery manufacturers will come together with international participants.
Stating that Turkey had increased its exports of Plastic and Rubber Processing Machinery in 2017 by 16%, the President of Machinery Exporters’ Association, Mr. Kutlu Karavelioğlu, spoke as follows:
“Although the plastic and rubber inputs have great importance for major sectors such as construction and car-making, the manufacturing of plastic processing machinery is hard-pressed to provide the need for plastics in many countries. The PLAST is an important meeting point where solutions are offered in this area. While establishing new partnerships at the Fair we will try to follow on location the high-quality practices of the leading countries in the sector. Turkey has strong sectoral experience in the area of Plastic and Rubber Processing Machinery; we will take this knowledge further at the PLAST. Our target is to increase our share in the world sectoral exports and to be included among the top exporting countries in the long term.”
